Who Pays For My Claim?

Our services are provided on a “No win, no fee” basis. If your claim is unsuccessful you will not pay anything for our services.

When Should I Claim?

Compensation may be available even if you incurred losses years ago. However, you should always begin your claim asap.

We help around 5,000 people each year with their compensation claims, and we might be able to help you too.

We believe that everyone is entitled to fair access to justice. But if done wrong, filing a compensation claim can cost you money, time and peace of mind. We can introduce you to a specialist law firm who will help you maximise your payment for your loss of money.

Where we offer No Win No Fee services, claimants typically pay 20% of the amount recovered to our solicitors, although this will be subject to your individual circumstances and the actual fee may be less than this, but it will never be more. Any solicitor we refer you to is an independent professional from whom you will receive impartial and confidential advice. You are free to choose another solicitor.

SIPP COMPENSATION: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Was a SIPP suitable for me?

SIPPs suit experienced investors who want to personally manage their pension and the investments in it. If you have a SIPP and this was not your intention, or you did not understand what you were getting in to, then you may have been given inadequate advice or even misled about the risk involved.

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

Was I given poor advice?by my advisor?

Were you advised to invest in unregulated investments? For example, were you advised to invest in: The Resort Group, Store Pods, Green Oil, Los Pandos Development, Global Forestry, Cape Verde, Elysian Fuels, Biofuels, Global Cure Environmental Investment, Parking Investments, Australian Farmland, Overseas Property Development?

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

Was I mis-led by a financial advisor?

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has stated that they are aware of a number of regulated Independent Financial Advisors that have mis-sold SIPPs and have highlighted the following businesses: Taylormade Investments, Harlequin, Alderney Asset, Archer Wealth, Henderson, Carter, Kingsbridge ASSET.

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

It was a long time ago, can I still make a claim?

It was a long time ago, can you still help? Yes, we can try to help you! We will need some very basic information from you. We will then obtain all of the relevant information from the Pension providers to enable us to make the claim on your behalf.

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

How much compensation will I receive?

Up to £50,000 and more. It depends on the amount you transferred from your pension into the SIPP, the circumstances of the transfer, and your personal circumstances at the time. The solicitor will endeavour to claim any capital losses, plus any lost interest and compensation for the mis-selling.

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

What if the company is no longer in business?

If the company that advised you to transfer your pension is no longer trading, you can still get help by taking your case to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. This can be a complicated process that needs to be discussed after we have spoken to assess your individual circumstances.

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

I don't have all the documents ...

If you do not have all the documentation we can still help you make a claim. Your solicitor can issue Subject Access Requests on your behalf to obtain all marketing material, documentation and evidence of any risk assessments taken by the advisor.

If so, you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.

I was put under pressure or given bad advice.

Lack of understanding – you did not understand the process or investment that you were advised on?

Hard sales or pressure selling – you felt uncomfortable or pressured into an investment that you didn’t really need or want

Given poor advice – you were advised to switch, even though your existing scheme was more suitable?

I was not given advice about the risks.

Insufficient Advice about Risk – No advice given on risks – you were not made aware of the risky nature of the investments?

Tax avoidance – did your advisor say a SIPP could be used for tax avoidance?

If the above applies to you then you may have been a victim of SIPP mis-selling – and we might be able to help you make a mis-sold SIPP claim.
